Black Moon is a versatile, sophisticated, and a potent ingredient that can make any drink better. Our best drink recommendation is to listen to your bartender, they always know best. You really can’t go wrong with Black Moon. Try it straight up, with a beer, in a mixed drink, or out of a funnel. If it’s fun and tastes good, then it’s the right thing to do. If you need some ideas, here our favorites.

Black Moon is best served straight up or on the rocks.

Sidecar

If you know you know. If you don’t let us explain. A sidecar is your favorite sipping drink + a Black Moon. Like Bonnie and Clyde, Payton and Kemp, or Donnie and Marie two is better than one. We love a beer and a Black Moon but this works with mixed drinks, seltzers, or even a nice wine.

Black Moon & Soda

Refreshing like an afternoon swim in Lake Como. Easily the most refreshing of the cocktails we’ll put here. Pro tip, sub sparkling wine for the soda water to make a Black Moon Spritz.

  • 50 ml Black Moon

  • 12 oz soda water

  • Garnish with orange, lime or grapefruit

  • Mint leaves optional

The World Record

A personal favorite (please Guinness don’t sue us), Pour your shot into a stout and drink. Guinness is our favorite choice and tastes like St. Patricks Day, Xmas and the last drink of the night had a love child that just got accepted to bartending school. It will make you want nothing else for the rest of the night.

Black Moon Negroni

This industry favorite does the job and leaves you feeling refreshed for that 3 am bike ride home. Black Moon adds a complex depth of flavor that you won’t find from any other negroni.

  • 50 ml Black Moon

  • 1 oz Gin

  • 1 oz sweet or semi-sweet red vermouth

  • Ice, for serving (try clear ice!)

  • Garnish with orange peel

Black Moonhattan

Oh you fancy? Alright, lets get a little more complicated. This drink is popular enough for bartenders to know how to make but just unique enough that you might impress someone at your table.

  • 2 oz Bourbon or Rye Whiskey

  • 50 ml of Black Moon

  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters

Amaro Caldo

Looking for a relaxing and sophisticated way to drink so no one knows? Say no more! The Amaro Caldo is all this plus a damn fine way to enjoy a Black Moon on a cold evening. It’s a simple recipe that almost everyone can master.

  • 4 oz of hot water

  • 50 ml Black Moon

The Aviator

Modern, refreshing, and potent. The Aviator is where Kentucky meets Italy, like taking the Vespa to the horse track. This is one that’s sure to impress the table.

  • 1 oz Aperol

  • 50 ml Black Moon

  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
